Model update

All-electric Lexus UX 300e test drives now available

Marking the reopening of the Lexus network of showrooms across England on Monday 12 April, the new UX 300e, Lexus’s first all-electric model, will be available to test-drive for the first time. Prospective customers can experience the quiet, smooth and refined performance of the compact SUV, assured that all Covid-19 health and safety requirements are fully complied with.

The UX 300e offers zero-emission driving performance and a driving range of up to 196 miles* from its high-capacity 54.35kwh lithium-ion battery. A full recharge can be accomplished from a domestic power supply via a wallbox system in around eight hours.

Wallbox charging systems

Lexus is partnering with British Gas to help customers obtain the ideal wallbox unit for the UX 300e. A simple online service provides details of the versions available and the baseline pricing – from £549, inclusive of supply, installation, VAT and the current £350 grant provided by the Government via OLEV, the Office for Low Emission Vehicles. The equipment is covered by a three-year warranty.

UX 300e care plans

New care plans tailored specifically to the UX 300e are available for retail customers, providing value for money and peace of mind for people purchasing their first battery electric vehicle.

The Level 1 plan provides three scheduled services, three pollen filter replacements, three electric health checks, a brake fluid change, two key batteries, fluid checks and the vehicle’s first MOT test for £15 per month for 36 months. The Level 2 plan provides the same services together with up to two replacement tyres, one set of brake pads and one change of wiper blades, for £30 per month over the same period.

Extendable battery warranty cover

The excellent quality and durability of Lexus’s electric vehicle technology is reflected in the comprehensive and lengthy warranty cover available for the UX 300e. The battery is guaranteed by a standard eight-year/100,000-mile warranty, which can be extended 10 years/600,000 miles if the customer includes a battery health check in each vehicle service.

Pricing and purchase options

The UX 300e has an on-the-road price of £43,900; with the Premium Plus Pack the price is £47,400; and with the Takumi Pack, £53,500.

Comprehensive purchase options are available to meet the needs of different customers. These include Kinto Private and Business Contract Hire (PCH and BCH), with no risk to the customer, and Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) available through Lexus Financial Services.
