Allianz Partners UK confirms the return of its successful EV training programme, following on from the success of its inaugural 2018 course, launched in partnership with the Institute of Vehicle Recovery (IVR). Â Allianz Partners is also working closely with Recovery Safe as its training partner. Together they will deliver a new standard in technical training and awareness to those attending to alternative fuel vehicles requiring roadside assistance.
This year, the course comes with full IVR accreditation for graduates, plus drivers will receive a Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) card after completing 7 hours of driver training, demonstrating the commitment by Allianz Partners to continue investing in the expertise of the UK’s recovery network.
Independent recovery operators will welcome news that the EV training programme returns for a second year, as the latest SMMT data reveals that battery electric registrations (BEV) were up 61.7% in June*.  Whilst overall the performance of the alternatively fueled sector saw negative growth in June for the first time since April 2017, ongoing investment continues to enable manufacturers to offer British car buyers more choice than ever before with more than 350 models now available in the UK – 44 of them plug-ins.
The 2019 training days takes place over six days, in six different locations around the UK, including GTG Wolverhampton and the CEME Conference Centre in Essex. IVR trainer, Mark Hartell from Recovery Safe will be delivering the course to industry professionals keen to stay on top of the latest EV technology.
