Mobility and fleet leasing specialists Alphabet GB Limited today announced that it has reshaped its Rental Services approach in order to provide fully-integrated mobility for Corporates and SMEs.

Since January this year, the company has been working to bring together its daily rental and extended rental offerings into one unified and simplified customer journey with a single touchpoint for all Rental requirements. In addition, Alphabet’s Head of Mobility Services, Nick Butler, has actively recruited a new team of field-based Mobility Consultants who offer strategic solutions to customers mobility challenges, working hand-in-hand with Alphabet’s Commercial teams. This enables Alphabet to provide a holistic, 360-degree approach to customer’s mobility requirements incorporating corporate carsharing with AlphaCity, access to Alphabet’s dedicated extended rental fleet (AlphaRent+) of over 1,300 vehicles, as well as single day hire (AlphaRent). These consultants also support customers nationwide who are looking to encourage and incentivise electric mobility within their fleets and help find ways to reduce ‘hidden’ mobility costs like taxis and ‘grey fleet’.

Nick Butler, Head of Mobility Services commented: “We’ve transformed the way that Alphabet deliver our Rental Services to customers and we’ve instilled a mind-set across the whole business that Rental is absolutely integral to our mobility offering. In the past Rental was seen as a peripheral, add-on service rather than a core offering like leasing and fleet management. But there’s been a sea-change in the industry and among forward-thinking customers that Rental is an absolutely fundamental piece of the mobility jigsaw.

It’s about providing a flexible, easy to access mobility solution which adds value to our customer relationships. We’re already seeing the changes bear fruit for Alphabet and our customers. I think it reflects a wider market shift for businesses to outsource their rental requirements to expert providers and enable their employees to self-service and access services on demand. Which in turn means that businesses need less admin resource in-house and so can focus on their own core, value-adding activities.

Already this year our new integrated Rental approach has proved a decisive factor for a couple of significant new business wins. What’s even more pleasing is that existing customers have really gotten on board with the changes and we’ve seen additional rental business coming from existing Alphabet customers. With the new Rental approach we are helping to deliver both financial savings and crucially savings in time and resource by making things easy for customers and their employees.”
