BCA launches new Saturday online auction programme

With demand continuing at exceptional levels across the wholesale used vehicle market, BCA is extending its selling programme with the introduction of a new online sales programme commencing on Saturday 19 September at 9.30am.

It will be the first time that BCA has sold exclusively online for six days a week and the sale will offer a choice of around 1,200 vehicles including both cars and light commercials at a variety of age, mileage, condition and price points.

The new sale will feature vehicles from vendors including UKCGR Premium and UKCGR Trade and Select, BCA Outsourced Solutions Lex, Europcar and dealer entered stock from Arnold Clark, Bristol Street Motors, CarShop, Cazoo Part Exchange, John Clark Motor Group and Sinclair Group.

BCA’s Stuart Pearson, COO UK Remarketing commented “We are pleased to start this new Saturday sale programme as we continue to enhance our online auction programme to meet the changing needs of our buyers in the post-Covid market.”

He added “We are continuously enhancing our digital offering for our buyers, by introducing new functionality to the BCA Buyer app that makes it even easier for our customers to interact with our online auction platforms and making major improvements to bca.com.  Our new online Click and Collect service allows our customers to arrange vehicle collection nationwide, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, safely, socially distanced and in line with current Covid-19 guidance, saving time and improving efficiency.”

Pearson continued “We have had up to 1,500 buyers logging in for some individual sales underlining the appetite the market has for the stock on offer at BCA.  In addition, the activity through our fixed price BCA Buy Now channel and BCA Bid Now timed auctions continues to accelerate as our customers recognise the flexibility and choice these channels deliver.”

“Currently all sales remain online only and we’re keeping close to the latest government guidance in order to protect our people, customers and suppliers.”

The BCA Online sales programme for Saturday 19 September includes:

UKCGR Premium – at 9.30am with up to 200 vehicles.

UKCGR Trade & Select – at 9.30am with up to 250 vehicles.

Dealer Sale 1: Bristol Street Motors, Sinclair Group, CarShop, John Clark Motor Group - at 9.30am with up to 250 vehicles.

Dealer Sale 2: Arnold Clark, Cazoo Part Exchange - at 10.00am with up to 145 vehicles.

Fleet Sale 1: BCA Outsourced Solutions Lex, Europcar - at 9.30am with up to 230 vehicles.

LCV Sale:  BCA Outsourced Solutions LCV, UKCGR Commercial - at 9.30am with up to 100 vehicles.
