Citroën ë-Dispatch Electric and Dispatch ICE models honoured in Company Car and Van Awards 2022

Citroën ë-Dispatch Electric continues to impress UK industry experts, adding the Company Car and Van ‘Medium Electric Van of the Year’ award to its long list of recent accolades. Citroën ë-Dispatch Electric was the brand’s first new-generation ë-LCV, introduced at the end of 2020. Citroën is currently on track to offer an electrified variant across its entire vehicle range by 2025 – and it is one of only a few brands in the UK already able to offer fleet and business buyers battery electric powertrains across its entire LCV range.

Available with either a 50kWh or a 75kWh battery, ë-Dispatch Electric offers up to 205 miles of range (WLTP) and provides operators with a payload of up to 1,004kg. The Company Car and Van Awards jury was impressed by the model as an option for van users looking to make the switch to all-electric power, without the need to compromise on load capacity and payload.

Andrew Walker, Editor of Company Car and Van, said: “With the same load volume as the Dispatch, the ë-Dispatch shines as our ‘Medium Electric Van of the Year’ 2022. Time spent in Citroen’s ë-Dispatch proved to us that for many businesses an electric van would work and the ë-Dispatch, with its top-notch interior, excellent payload and car-like handling would be at the top of that list.”

Citroën’s ever-popular Diesel-powered Dispatch van was also recognised in the Company Car and Van Awards 2022, once again taking the impressive ‘Medium Van of the Year’ title in its stride.

This is the second consecutive year that Citroën Dispatch has been named ‘Medium Van of the Year’ in the Company Car and Van Awards. The model continues to stand out thanks to its competitive pricing, real world practicality and impressive ride comfort. Available in ‘X Pro’, ‘Enterprise Pro’ and ‘Driver Pro’ trims, and with a choice of lengths (XS, M and XL), Citroën Dispatch suits a wide range of business needs, with a maximum load volume of 6.6m3 and a payload of up to 1,446kg.

Andrew Walker commented: “Recent engine upgrades, plus a lower price than 12 months ago, mean that the Dispatch makes an even better fist of being our ‘Medium Van of the Year’ 2022. Add in its excellent payload, quality cabin and car-like drive, and it really is hard to fault. We also think that it’s the best-looking version of this Stellantis van.”

Eurig Druce, Citroën UK’s Managing Director, said: “What an excellent way to start 2022! It’s great to receive a further two accolades from Company Car and Van, to add to the wealth of awards already received for our 100%-electric and ICE products. As a brand, Citroën really does have all the bases covered in the van market and, as Company Car and Van have proved – whether you opt for 100%-electric or Diesel – you are making an excellent choice with a Citroën commercial vehicle.”
