Classic Car Auctions to offer the most collectable of 944 Turbos, the Silver Rose at their Summer Sale

Classic Car Auctions June sale at the Warwickshire Event Centre will be offering a superb variety of classic and modern classics, including a Porsche 944 Turbo Silver Rose from 1988, one of 77 UK allocated cars.

The Silver Rose was only built in 1988 and was a result of Porsche’s highly successful Turbo Cup, an F1 supporting race series. The race cars had their power uprated and this power increase was passed onto the road cars giving them 250bhp and the Turbo S badge and distinctive Silver Rose metallic paint.

Among the other specifications for this highly collectable 944 were the Studio plaid cloth interior and Turbo Script on the wing, a nod to past higher performance Porsches.

Though other paint options became available later in 1988, it is believed that there were only 77 right-hand drive Silver Rose cars were delivered to the UK.

This particular car has the M030 option of Koni adjustable suspension 928 Brembo front brakes and 16 inch Fuchs magnesium forged flat dished alloy wheels. It has had three owners from new, has never been restored and is in superb condition throughout, with a valid MOT.

With 58,912 miles indicated on the clock and a comprehensive service history, it is guided at £35,000 to £40,000.

The summer is nearly upon us and with lots of staycationing still taking place, CCA could provide you with a stunning classic option to go away in.

Offered in the Summer Sale is a beautifully converted 1978 Ford Transit Mk 2 SWB Camper Van. Finished in Riviera Blue and white with dark blue coachlines, you will certainly stand out wherever you pitch up. It comes with a rigid pop-top in white allowing for that extra bit of headroom.

At £15,000 to £18,000 this early Mk2 Camper van is still fitted with the original 2.0 litre OHC engine and comes with an extensive history file including the owner’s manuals. A simply wonderful offering.

Gary Dunne CCA Sales Manager commented: “Two very different Lots this week, which shows the breadth of vehicles CCA have to offer with many more going live over the next few days and weeks as we head towards 150 Lots.”

“The highlight has to be the Porsche Silver Rose, a very rare and well sought-after Porsche. This will get any 944 enthusiast all revved up as it is very low mileage and the condition is delightful.”

“We auction a lot of Porsches and I am sure this will find a very deserving home.”

“The Ford Transit Camper is a very charming vehicle and we have sold a few campers in the last couple of years. In this condition, it will make someone’s next holiday a very enjoyable experience and with all these retro events popping up what better vehicle to pitch up in.”

The closing date for consigning your car is the 27th May so would urge anyone thinking of consigning their car to get in touch.

If you wish to promote your car further, for £300 including the entry fee CCA offer professional photography.
