Honda UK wins National Fleet Award for technology excellence

Honda UK’s ongoing commitment to research and development (R&D) has been recognised with a prestigious award at the first ever Great British Fleet Event. The manufacturer took home the ‘Fleet Technology Award’ at a glittering ceremony at Hotel Novotel in London.

Judges praised Honda for its track record of innovation in the fleet sector, crediting one of the freshest and diverse fleet offers available. The manufacturer was commended from an extensive list of fleet providers for the work it does to deliver products and services which support operators running safer, greener, more cost-effective fleets.

Honda’s fleet innovation is visible in both its vehicle line-up and the services it provides to fleet managers, SMEs and user-choosers. All Honda corporate cars are available with the option of Honda SENSING and Honda CONNECT; its advanced safety and connectivity packages. Similar innovation is also visible in the company’s service provision for fleets, particularly in its novel approach to offering manufacturer-approved support throughout the lifecycle of every fleet vehicle.

The unique Platinum Programme provides fleets with a personal and localised maintenance and servicing package delivered from its nationwide dealer network with retailers encouraged to interact with fleet drivers through specialist services. Honda offers additional fleet-specific services alongside this, including a new interactive whole lifecycle costs (WLC) calculator which enables customers to calculate how much a vehicle will cost throughout its entire lifespan under their ownership.

Speaking of the award win, Jacqueline Rowe, fleet engagement manager at Honda, commented: “We are passionate that for a Honda to be a Honda, it must be different to every other fleet vehicle on the road and this award demonstrates that this is very much the case. To be recognised by our peers for our commitment to technology and innovation is a real honour and is evidence that we offer one of the most advanced, innovative and most useful fleet offering on the market.”
