Manheim introduces new hybrid sales programme for North West LCV customers

Manheim Auction Services has announced it is to extend its hybrid sales LCV programme with a new physical and online sale from Haydock.

The new sale, which launches on 7th June and will take place every other Wednesday, will bring around 500 additional commercial vehicles per month to the market. Supporting vendors include Novuna, Rivus, Zenith, MotoNovo, XBG, Royal Mail, Arval, SG Fleet, Europcar, Enterprise, Swansway, Money4YourMotors and United Rental Group. Additional vendors are being onboarded to support the increased buyer demand for a physical auction in the North of the country.

The new addition to Manheim’s nationwide sales programme is on the back of increasing supply into the wholesale market and customer demand for a physical LCV sale in the North West of England. As with all Manheim auctions, buyers are welcome to attend in person or join online via Simulcast.

Matthew Davock, Director of Commercial Vehicles at Manheim UK comments: “Since launching our new LCV hybrid sales programme last September, we’ve seen demand from both buyers and sellers rise to record breaking levels. Our physical sales have become increasingly well attended and at the same time, we’re seeing an increasing number of commercial vehicles being de-fleeted and therefore entering the remarketing channels. In fact, this year has been the strongest start to a year we’ve ever experienced, with over 26,000 vans and trucks defleeted across our vehicle services and auctions operations to date, a 29% year-on-year increase.

“Customers have been clear that they’d support an additional sale, ideally in the north of the country, as and when the conditions were right, and I’m delighted that time is now. The new Haydock sales brings the number of physical auction sites now being operated by Manheim up to eleven. That said, the number isn’t what’s important. Rather, we’re fixated on providing a high quality, nationwide sales programme that is easy to access, efficient and gives our customers choice on how, where and when they buy and sell.

“We believe this move further extends our position as the UK’s number one CV auction company, giving our customers the greatest choice and largest variety across the UK for LCV product and remarketing services. I’d like to thank our vendors for supporting this move and look forward to welcoming both them and our buyers back into our Haydock’s auction lanes”.

Manheim is expecting over 100 physical and over 400 online LCV buyers for the launch event.

Manheim Auction Services now operates over 120 auctions each month and with stock from over 1,000 vendor sources. In addition to Haydock, auctions are held in Birmingham, Bristol, Colchester, Leeds, Manchester, Northampton, Plymouth, Shepshed, Shotts and Washington. All sales are open to physical and online buyers. The sales programme also includes Buy Now and Bid Now events, giving buyers online access to a pool of vehicles 24/7.
