Manheim kicks off Q4 with Marshall mega week

Manheim Auction Services has announced it will be holding a mega-week event for Marshall Motor Group from Monday 12th to Friday 16th October.

At last year’s mega-week event for Marshall, Manheim sold 853 vehicles, beating its previous record of 815 in 2018, and achieved a combined sales value of £4.6 million.

Manheim would normally host a series of physical sales for an event like this across the week, but current Government restrictions has meant things will be done a little bit different this year.

The five-day event will feature over 1,000 high quality vehicles from Marshall, with virtual sales taking place across five Manheim sites: Bristol, Northampton, Wimbledon, Colchester and Mansfield, using Manheim’s online Simulcast platform.

Jon Head, Commercial Director at Marshall Motor Group, said: “We usually hold mega-week events twice a year at Manheim. We planned to hold our first event in April but had to quickly change our plans due to the impact of the pandemic.

“We’re delighted to now put on this event and confident it will be bigger than ever before! We also have even more stock to sell due to a number of acquisitions we made towards the back end of 2019.”

James Leese, Chief Customer Officer at Cox Automotive, said: “The health and safety of our team members and our customers is top priority. Whilst we would normally look forward to hosting physical sales for Marshall during this mega-week event, we are all having to work differently. We’ve been running online auctions for customers very successfully and activity on our Simulcast platform has been very positive. We are looking forward to delivering another record-breaking mega-week for Marshall!”

Marshall Motor Group recently agreed a new three-year deal with Manheim and the new contract, which takes the partnership until the end of 2022, sees the two organisations enter their second decade of working together.
