PEUGEOT named double winner at Company Car Today CCT100 Awards

PEUGEOT has added another set of awards to its trophy cabinet with two accolades at the 2022 Company Car Today CCT100 Awards. The PEUGEOT 208 came out on top as ‘Supermini of the Year’, while the 5008 continued its remarkable run of form in these awards, after it was crowned ‘SUV of the Year’ once again.

The PEUGEOT 5008 is celebrating its fifth consecutive win as Company Car Today’s ‘SUV of the Year’ while the 208 continued to impress industry experts.

The Company Car Today awards select winners from the CCT100 list – its rundown of the 100 best fleet vehicles. The CCT100 list is built after the expert judging panel evaluate models based on 13 key criteria, including running costs, efficiency, practicality, and car park appeal.

The PEUGEOT 5008 impressed judges thanks to its spacious interior with seven independent seats fitted as standard and practical cabin that features the award-winning PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®. The latter features the latest connectivity and safety technologies, including the option of Night Vision, Autonomous Emergency Braking and Active Blind Spot Detection (standard from Allure trim level upwards). Its efficient choice of PureTech petrol and Blue HDi diesel engines and the option of an 8-speed automatic also helps keep fuel costs down for fleet operators.

The PEUGEOT 208 is available with a choice of diesel or petrol engines or as the 100% electric e-208 with a 50kWh battery connected to a 100kW (136hp) electric motor, capable of up to 225 miles from a single charge (WLTP). The e-208 also supports up to 100kW rapid charging with 0-80% charge taking just 30 minutes and has been praised for its eye-catching design that helps it to stand out on the road.

Paul Barker, Editor of Company Car Today, said: “An ever-increasing quality of cabin and design, and a diversity of powertrain, is evident in a pair of CCT100 award wins for Peugeot, with the 208 showing that affordable running costs can combine with a premium-level interior and good looks in the supermini segment,” said Company Car Today Editor Paul Barker. “The 5008 continues to dominate our SUV of the Year class, taking the prize for the fifth year in a row thanks to its practicality, great interior, good running costs and technology.”

Julie David, Managing Director, PEUGEOT, UK, said: I’m pleased to see that the PEUGEOT 208 and the 5008 have been so warmly received by Company Car Today – especially that the 5008 has been recognised for leading its class for the past five successive years! Both models offer drivers incredible practicality. Whilst the PEUGEOT 5008 is one of our largest passenger car models, the 208 offers drivers with the option to make the switch over to electrification, whilst maintaining the style and practical ability that has made our model range so successful.”

The PEUGEOT 208 and PEUGEOT 5008 are available to order and buy from PEUGEOT Retailers and via PEUGEOT Buy Online. Buy Online allows customers to configure and order their vehicle entirely online and makes purchasing a car online simple and convenient. Customers can configure their vehicle, obtain a part exchange valuation, personalise their finance and complete their purchase including home delivery options where available, all from the comfort of their own home.
