PEUGEOT reaches over 1000 e-LCV sales already in 2022

PEUGEOT has increased its UK new car and van market share from 5% in YTD 2021 to 5.2% in YTD 2022, according to the latest registration figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). The brand has also recorded over 1000 Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) Light Commercial Vehicle sales so far in 2022, ranking as the number one brand for sales in this sector with over 50% share of the market in February.

PEUGEOT’s strong e-LCV performance is reflective of the brand’s offering in this sector: the e-Partner, e-Expert and e-Boxer form a complete line-up of electric vans to suit all customer needs. Each model makes no compromise in terms of useful volume or practicality compared with the diesel versions, whilst offering all the advantages of the electric powertrain: lower running costs, ease of driving, immediate throttle response, high torque and the absence of noise, vibrations, odours and tailpipe emissions.

PEUGEOT’s passenger car range will be strengthened again with the addition of the highly anticipated new 308 and new 308 SW later this year. Ahead of launch, both models have already been recognised as strong contenders in their segment, making the shortlist of just seven finalists that were in the running for European Car of the Year 2022.

Julie David, Managing Director, PEUGEOT UK, said: “It’s great to see the excellent results across our passenger car and commercial vehicle ranges this month. We’re very proud to be one of the few on the market that can offer customers a fully-electric variant of every model in our LCV range, and it’s great that so many customers are seeing the benefits of switching. We hope to continue this momentum into the last month of the quarter.”
