PEUGEOT scores a hat trick of wins at Company Car & Van Awards 2021

PEUGEOT is celebrating three wins at the Company Car & Van Awards 2021. The awards continue an impressive run of form for the PEUGEOT LCV range, with the PEUGEOT Partner named ‘Small Van of the Year’, and PEUGEOT Expert taking home the ‘Medium Van of the Year’ title. Company Car & Van also named the all-new PEUGEOT e-208 its ‘Small EV Car of the Year’.

The PEUGEOT Partner and all-new PEUGEOT e-208 are marking consecutive wins at the Company Car & Van Awards, having won their respective categories last year.

The PEUGEOT Partner and PEUGEOT Expert share their ‘Small Van of the Year’ and ‘Medium Van of the Year’ awards with models from Groupe PSA sister brands Citroën and Vauxhall.

The PEUGEOT Partner was praised by the Company Car & Van judges for its easy and enjoyable handling carried over from the PEUGEOT passenger car range, low emissions, good fuel economy and array of driver-friendly tech. With an excellent 1,009kg maximum payload and up to 4.4m3 load volume, the Company Car & Van team also praised the PEUGEOT Partner’s load capacity.

The PEUGEOT Expert impressed with its ease of use, great driving dynamics as well as its practicality and high levels of interior features. With a maximum payload of up to 1,469kg and a load volume of 6.6m3, the Expert suits the needs for both businesses and private users. Its efficient Euro 6.2-compliant BlueHDi diesel engines also help keep costs low.

Andrew Walker, Editor of Company Car & Van, said: “It only took us a few minutes to really, really like the Expert. Not only does it feel car-like to drive and feature a car inspired cabin, but it is also spot on for load space and cabin practicality. The engines offer decent fuel-economy and for a van, the Expert even looks good as well.”

The PEUGEOT Expert is also available as a fully electric model. The new PEUGEOT e-EXPERT, which was unveiled in 2020, is available with either a 50kWh or a 75kWh battery and features a 100kW (136hp) electric motor to provide a range of up to 205 miles from a single charge. Supporting up to 100kW rapid charging, the PEUGEOT e-Expert can receive 80% charge in just 30 minutes. The e-Expert comes with up to 6.6m3 of load space and a maximum payload of 1,226kg.

It wasn’t just the PEUGEOT LCV range that received high praise from Company Car & Van, with the all-new PEUGEOT e-208 named ‘Small EV Car of the Year’ for a second year running. This is the latest in a series of prestigious UK awards for the PEUGEOT e-208, taking its tally up to five since its reveal, in addition to being crowned ‘European Car of the Year’ earlier in 2020.

The all-new PEUGEOT e-208 was the first, new generation, fully electric model to arrive as part of PEUGEOT’s electrification strategy. Built with a 50kWh battery connected to a 100kW (136hp) electric motor, the all-new PEUGEOT e-208 is capable of up to 217 miles of range (WLTP) from a single charge. It supports rapid charging of up to 100kW, reaching 80% charge in as little as 30 minutes.

The Company Car & Van team were impressed by the all-new PEUGEOT e-208’s competitive electric range, cleverly designed interior and smart design that stands out against the competition.

David Peel, Managing Director of PEUGEOT UK, said: “I am thrilled to see two of our popular LCV’s and our ground-breaking electric car, the all-new PEUGEOT e-208, score a hat trick of trophies at this year’s Company Car & Van awards. Any award from industry experts is always a pleasure to receive, but to be the recipient of multiple awards is an ideal start to the New Year. It is great to see that our models are continuing to impress experts and our valued customers.”

The all-new PEUGEOT e-208, PEUGEOT Expert and PEUGEOT Partner are all available to buy in store with PEUGEOT Retailers and via PEUGEOT Buy Online. PEUGEOT Buy Online allows customers to configure their vehicle, obtain a part exchange valuation, personalise their finance and complete their purchase, all from the comfort of their own home.
