Polestar UK opens new Head Office at Bicester Heritage

Polestar (Nasdaq: PSNY), the Swedish electric performance car brand, is building on its recent achievement of delivering over 11,000 cars in the UK since entering the market by opening its UK commercial headquarters at Bicester Heritage. A new Polestar Space based in the same building will open in January 2023. The new multi-purpose location has been developed in one of the existing two-storey buildings in the Heritage Quarters.

The headquarters, located on the upper floor, will house operational staff supporting all customers with Polestars on UK roads. Customer Car, Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Communications functions will all operate out of the Commercial Head Office supporting Polestar’s global ambition to deliver 290,000 vehicles by 2025.

The Polestar Space at Bicester will be located on the ground floor and will offer a welcoming environment for customers to experience Polestar electric cars, interact with Polestar specialists and experience a test drive from early next year. The location will also host exclusive customer events.

With Polestar’s focus on accelerating the shift to electric mobility Polestar is investing in the Bicester Heritage infrastructure including the expansion of the EV charging network to support customers and employees.

Jonathan Goodman, Head of Polestar UK says: “With the opening of our first UK commercial Head Office, Polestar is demonstrating the importance of the market to its growth globally. With more than 11,000 Polestar cars now on our roads, this also reflects the rate of pure EV adoption increasing enormously in the UK.

“Bicester Heritage’s approach really resonates with Polestar as an enthusiast brand, and we expect we will fit in well with the other fantastic brands already on site. We will be an open and welcoming head office and we look forward to meeting Bicester Heritage visitors, as well as existing and future Polestar customers over the coming months.

“I would also like to thank all our guests today from media to our new neighbours and our employees, for contributing food to our ‘No Waste of Space’ food collection which will be donated to the Trussell Trust throughout Christmas and January. Tomorrow we will deliver 40 crates of food in five Polestar 2 to the Coventry distribution centre. Our relationship with the Trussell Trust allows us to support the families that need it most in the communities we are operational in.”

Daniel Geoghegan, CEO, Bicester Motion adds: “Polestar have a truly unique ethos when it comes to delivering a product for consumers that is both innovative and exciting. We are thrilled to have them here at Bicester Heritage, and as a part of our Bicester Motion journey.”

Polestar and Bicester Motion have strong alignments in company visions. Bicester Motion offers an authentic collection of dynamic and inclusive visitor experiences, including on-track and off-track immersive experiences celebrating automotive and aviation culture and technology, past, present and future.
