Power, luxury and off-roaders, just a few of the special cars going under the hammer this weekend

Classic Car Auctions bumper Summer Sale takes place this weekend at the Warwickshire Event Centre with a huge catalogue of 190 cars, from classics to luxury powerhouses, sportscars and off-roaders.

With such a huge variety of cars on offer, there has been enormous interest as bidders register both online via CCA Live or to attend in person.

Gary Dunne CCA Sales Manager commented: “We have had such a tremendous response in the last week as we head towards our largest ever on day sale.”

“There have been a lot of enquiries, and with two days of viewing on Thursday and Friday we are very much looking forward to returning to our spiritual home, the Warwickshire Event Centre.”

“Over the last few weeks we have been promoting some of the best cars being offered and this week we have selected a handful of real powerhouse cars.”

Representing Mercedes we have a 2002 CL63 AMG, one of 26 examples of the 440bhp ever built. This model is the rarest, with the 6.3 litre V12 AMG engine. Guided at £20,000 to £25,000, this stunning car has been subject to a restoration totalling £25,000. It comes with a massive specification and presented in Obsidium with a Designo Navy Blue interior.

Another Mercedes powerhouse to keep an eye on is the 6.2 litre V8 AMG S63L. An elegant S-class limousine when bought new would cost over £120,000 and is guided at £12,000 to £15,000. With one former keeper this is a lot of car for very little money.

There are also quite a few more Mercedes powerhouses and convertibles on offer.

A standout BMW is the 1999 M3 Evo AC Schnitzer CS3 Sport, one of only two built and the only one in the UK. Very well presented in Estoril Blue with a black leather interior and sold new to the CEO of Norwich Union this is one BMW to add to any enthusiasts collection, guided at £40,000 to £45,000.

From the home market of Jaguar, a limited edition 2006 Jaguar XJR Portfolio, only 100 of which were manufactured with very unique additions. This 400bhp 4.2 litre supercharged V8 shifts to 60mph in 4.7 seconds. Presented in Midnight Black with an Ivory interior and carbon trim, it comes with a fully detailed service history and is guided at No Reserve. What an opportunity.

From 1990, an XJR-S with a 6-litre V12, is guided at £24,000 to £28,000. One of only 115 right-hand drive cars produced, this was the signature car from the Jaguar TWR joint venture known as JaguarSport. A rare car showing 35,708 miles on the clock.

In this momentous year we cannot forget about a British icon, the Land Rover. Offered at a guide price of £30,000 to £35,000, this 1949 Series 1 SWB is the lights behind the grille model. A very desirable version of the trusty Land Rover, it has been subjected to a very high standard of restoration including a fully galvanised chassis.

Gary continued: “These are quite a special selection of cars and to see more of what is on offer, don’t forget that Mike Brewer will be casting his eye over a further selection of cars and you will be able to watch his sale preview on Mike Brewer Motoring later this week.”

“It will be lovely to be back in Warwickshire for this sale and we look forward to meeting everyone and of course to a great sale.”

Viewing takes place on Thursday 16th and Friday 17th with sale day being the Saturday 18th June.

The Classic Car Auction Summer sale is being held at the Warwickshire Event Centre, where there is plenty of free parking and it is easily accessed from the M40, M42.
