Great news again this week for investment in the UK car industry with Lotus investing more than £100 million in UK facilities. The investment includes Sports Car Operations, Hethel (all-new factory for Emira production).  All-new main assembly hall and framing lines. The entire Lotus Sports Car Operations production facility is now powered by 100% renewable electricity thanks to a partnership with energy supplied Centrica.

The Aston Barclay desirability index is worth taking a look at this week, the index considers three key metrics: web views prior to sale, physical and online bid volumes per sale and the sale price achieved as a percentage of CAP Average. No surprise that the much sought-after  Lexus NX topped the table.

Don’t forget Birmingham launched it Clean Air Zone (CAZ) on Tuesday 1 June, vehicles are not banned in the Birmingham CAZ, but older and more polluting ones (pre-Euro 6 (VI) diesel and pre-Euro 4 petrol) will need to pay a daily charge to enter, for more information visit www.cleanairzones.co.uk
