Despite the rising in costs of energy prices (electricity & gas) the fleet industry is pushing hard in the direction of an electric fleet policy for the majority of their drivers. Regardless of the imminent price rises in April there is still a strong desire to switch to an all-electric fleet. From speaking to friends in leasing companies they are experiencing high demand from fleet customers for guidance on executing an electric vehicle policy. The advantages of an electric fleet even with potential energy cost increases still outweigh the rise in energy costs. BIK tax advantages provide considerable tax savings for both the driver and the employee and running costs are lower. With the current cost of petrol/diesel at the pumps hitting a record high EV’s might well be the sensible are more cost-effective option.
