The new Volkswagen Multivan has been named Best Seven Seater at the Parkers New Car Awards 2023. The awards are judged by a team of expert reviewers, selecting winners for each category.
The Multivan was praised for its comfortable drive, new advanced safety technology, and the flexibility of the seven seat interior. The offer of an “impressive” plug-in hybrid option was also commended by the judges.
The Parkers New Car Awards aim to reflect the views of Britain’s car-buyers and recognise the best new vehicles on the market.
A team of expert reviewers has independently and rigorously tested each of the shortlisted vehicles to select the winners. The judges looked at cost-per-month, value, quality, overall excellence and whether it is fit for purpose.
With a flexible seating configuration for up to seven people and a spacious interior with ample room for storage, the Multivan is designed to make long journeys comfortable for all the family.
Keith Adams, Editor at Parkers, said: “The Multivan is comfortable to drive, quieter and more refined than the old van-based Caravelle ever was, and gains access to a whole host of technology from sophisticated safety kit to an impressive plug-in hybrid powertrain. It’s all about the interior with a people-carrier, though, and we’re happy to report that the Multivan’s seats provide enough space for half a rugby team. Plenty of cars have seven seats these days, but few are true seven-seaters… this one is.”
