BCA Top Car Sales sets new records

BCA reports exceptional interest and demand for luxury, premium and executive cars as a specialist Top Car Sale at BCA Nottingham on 20 June sold a record-breaking 488 vehicles on the day, generating proceeds of £10.5 million from an 85% sale conversion.

Over 1,500 bidders logged on to bid via BCA Live Online – the highest digital bidding audience ever recorded for a BCA Top Car Sale.  With a further 100 buyers in the auction lanes and a highly competitive bidding environment, 227 different BCA customers purchased on the day.

The sale day saw a mouth-watering selection of vehicles sold, including 220 BMW models, 70 Porsche and 70 MINI, 42 Land Rover, 20 Mercedes-Benz and 16 Audi, as well as a desirable selection of Jaguar, Bentley, Aston Martin, Ferrari and Maserati.

The highest value car sold on the day was an 18/18 Lamborghini Urus that realised £191,200, while an 18/68 Bentley Bentayga sold for £134,000.  The average value across the Top Car Sale was £36,000, with 34 cars selling for in excess of £50,000.

BCA’s Nottingham Centre stages a Top Car Sale on every third Thursday of the month and features entries from Alphabet GB, Porsche Financial Services, Bentley Financial Services, UK Car Group, Motorline Direct and Pendragon.  It is preceded by a large BMW sale, typically featuring up to 200 BMW and MINI models entered direct by the manufacturer.  Sales start at 10.00 am, with the next event on Thursday, 18 July.

Stuart Pearson BCA COO UK Remarketing commented “This was an exceptional sale result that demonstrated the confidence our buyers have in BCA Live Online, BCA Assured and our appraisal and grading processes.  The introduction of the dual lane format and an earlier start time at BCA Nottingham means we are now regularly offering in excess of 500 vehicles in our monthly Top Car events – the best choice of luxury, premium and executive cars anywhere in the country.”
