Holiday journey? Get the basics right before you go with gem’s new ‘how to’ videos

ROAD SAFETY and breakdown cover specialist GEM Motoring Assist has published a brand new series of short ‘how to’ videos that set out the basics of car maintenance tasks you can do at home.

The five videos, each lasting a couple of minutes, feature presenter Katy Brody offering friendly, practical tips on home MOT checks, tyre pressure, tyre tread, oil levels and screen wash.

GEM road safety officer Neil Worth comments: “These engaging videos are helpful and practical. With school holidays fast approaching and lots of long journeys in the planning, we recommend putting them to good use to ensure you’re looking after your car.

“Proper car maintenance not only helps keep you and your passengers safe on your journey, it also reduces the risks of serious, expensive problems occurring in the future.

“Some drivers may not realise they should be carrying out maintenance checks. Others may not know how to perform the tasks. And others simply just don’t get around to it. Well, there are no excuses now, as the five videos show that the process really is quick and easy for drivers to follow.”
