MG, the UK’s fastest growing manufacturer, has smashed its yearly sales record, hitting five-figures for the first time since the brand re-entered the UK market. Famed for offering customers real value-for-money without compromising on specification or quality, the 10,000th MG, a ZS Exclusive in striking Arctic White, changed hands at Richmond MG in Southampton, Hampshire.
The landmark delivery reflects MG’s sustained expansion throughout 2018 and 2019, with the brand recording a staggering 24 months of consecutive year-on-year growth. The manufacturer remains firmly on track to achieve its Momentum & Growth mid-term plan. Adding two new models to its line-up this year, including the ground-breaking all-electric ZS EV and the All New MG HS flagship SUV, the marque has welcomed many first-time customers into the MG family. MG’s impressive growth is set to continue, with the brand committed to launch two new models in the next 12 months, as well as expanding its dealership network to 120 sites by the end of 2020.

The lucky recipient of the 10,000th car was Emily Stratton. Her new petrol MG ZS is finished in striking Arctic White and comes as standard with the brand’s leading 7-year warranty.
On picking up the keys to the new MG ZS, Mrs Stratton said: “We were looking to upgrade our existing three-door supermini to a crossover SUV to suit our growing family. The family plan to stretch the legs of their new car on a road trip to Bath to enjoy the historic city’s annual Christmas market.
