Motorpoint delivers the 1,000th car to customer’s door since lockdown

Motorpoint has completed its 1,000th home delivery since the lockdown.

The UK’s largest independent car retailer, which has a network of branches across England, Scotland and Wales, rolled out the complimentary service during the lockdown in response to demand from customers.

Since then dedicated teams from across Motorpoint have been busy working behind the scenes not only preparing the vehicles in line with the latest public health guidance but also taking to the roads to deliver hundreds of cars to customers up and down the country.

Among the many people to benefit from free home delivery is Maidenhead-based Gillian Fisher, who became the 1,000th person to have her new car brought to her doorstep by Motorpoint over the past few weeks.

Gillian, who previously bought a Fiat 500 from Motorpoint, decided to upsize to a Mini Cooper S and, at the same time, take advantage of the free Home Delivery Service together with the 14 day Money Back Guarantee.

“I’ve bought other cars from Motorpoint and found the experience really quick and easy,” explained Gillian, who works as a Go to Market Manager for a mobile telecoms provider. “I’ve been thinking about upsizing to a bigger car for a while so went onto the Motorpoint website a few days ago and when I found out they were able to deliver to my home rather than me make the 100-mile plus round trip to my nearest branch in Chingford in London I decided to buy it online.

“I absolutely love my new car. I’ve been a big fan of the Mini for some time so I can’t wait to go for a drive in it. I just need to think of a name for her now. I’d also like to thank Motorpoint again. Not only was the whole process quick and easy once more but having your new car brought to your home is so convenient and, at times like these, makes such as difference in terms of helping to keep us all safe.”

Robert Jones, General Manager of Motorpoint Chingford, who delivered the car to Gillian’s home in Berkshire, added: “Our free home delivery service has proved extremely popular since going live. Not only does the customer choose the time when they want their car delivered to their door during the week but thanks to our 14 day money back guarantee they can do so with complete confidence. We look forward to delivering the next 1,000 cars and light commercial vehicles to customers’ homes over the coming weeks.”

Motorpoint, which was recently awarded Platinum status by Feefo for its outstanding customer service, currently has over 5,000 low mileage, nearly new cars and light commercial vehicles available from over 30 different manufacturers. Every vehicle comes with the balance of manufacturer’s warranty backed by the Motorpoint Price Promise. This means Motorpoint will refund the difference to any customer within seven days of their order if they find the same car cheaper from a competitor. As an added bonus, it will also give the customer £50 worth of Amazon vouchers to spend.

Plus, for those customers who would still prefer to physically collect their car, Motorpoint has made contactless collection standard at all of its branches ahead of them re-opening in England from June 1. The facility allows customers to adhere to the latest social distancing guidelines and choose, buy and drive away without any physical contact with a member of staff. This includes test drives which can now be done without someone from Motorpoint being present in the car.

Robert Jones said: “With our branches fully re-opening from June 1 our customers can now choose to buy and receive their new car from Motorpoint in a way that best suits them while equally importantly staying safe at all times.”
