Vauxhall has been named a triple winner at the 2022 Company Car & Van Awards. The Vauxhall Corsa took home the ‘Small Car of the Year 2022’ title, while Vauxhall’s Vivaro and Vivaro-e were named ‘Medium Van of the Year 2022’ and ‘Medium Electric Van of the Year 2022’.
All three models were found to offer fleets and businesses strong value for money, efficient powertrains, as well as several practical and versatile features that made them stand out from the competition.
The Corsa has not only topped Britain’s sales charts but is also proving a winner with fleet and industry experts. Company Car & Van judges praised the Corsa and its 100% electric variant, the Corsa-e, for their affordable running costs, and high levels of equipment and technology.
Andrew Walker, Editor & Publisher, Company Car & Van, said: “The Corsa is currently, Britain’s best-selling car and who are we to argue, as it’s now our Small Car of the Year 2022. Importantly, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are offered as standard across the range and it’s available in a choice of funky colours, so it’s right on trend. Undoubtedly, the Corsa is one of the best small cars you can buy.”
Vauxhall is one of the few brands able to offer fleets a fully electric variant across its entire LCV line-up. The Vivaro, and its 100% electric counterpart, the Vivaro-e, both impressed Company Car & Van judges with their excellent payloads, efficient running costs and high levels of technology.
The Vivaro-e was named 2021 ‘International Van of the Year’ and has continued to impress both fleet operators and industry experts with its 205 mile WLTP range and low running costs. Sharing an identical 6.1m3 load volume with diesel variants of the Vivaro, the Vivaro-e is a practical, zero emissions solution for a growing number of fleets looking to reduce their running costs and emissions.
Andrew Walker said: “In the electric van sector, the Vivaro-e is the leader of the pack and is our Medium Electric Van of the Year 2022. Not only does it offer the best range, coupled to the best carrying capacity, with the same internal dimensions as the Vivaro, it’s also good to drive, comes well equipped and being electric, it’s cheap to run and repair. In 2022, if you’re looking for a medium electric van, then the Vauxhall Vivaro-e should be in pole position.”
The diesel variant of the Vivaro impressed with its new line-up of even more efficient diesel engines as well as high levels of technology, enabling it to win the ‘Medium Van of the Year’ category for another year running.
Andrew Walker added: “The current Vauxhall Vivaro is by far the best Vivaro yet and deservedly retains our title of Medium Van of the Year 2022. Everything about the latest Vivaro is better than before. It gets a larger payload and towing capacity, plus improved fuel economy from newer, cleaner diesel engines, putting it right at the top versus its rivals. The cabin features a number of clever design touches and all versions get the latest tech. Medium van customers need look no further.”
