Alphabet recognised for Best Van Fleet Management in 2018 Van Awards

Fleet leasing and mobility experts Alphabet (GB) Limited today  (06^th April 18) announce their success in the 2018 Van Awards with recognition for ‘Best Van Fleet Management’. Head of LCV at Alphabet, Dean Hedger collected the award from Van Fleet World for the Smartsheet Build & Conversion Management innovation.

Held at Twickenham Stadium, the Van Awards celebrate best practice in the commercial vehicle arena and recognise the very best suppliers and service providers in that field. Van Fleet World Editor Dan Gilkes commented: “The 2018 Van Awards turned the spotlight on those companies that are leading the way, with innovative light commercial vehicle solutions, both in manufacture and in support services. The way that vans are used, particularly in the urban environment, is constantly changing to meet the needs of fleets. Which is one of the reasons that we are not just dependant on van manufacturers, but on the huge technological support network that surrounds vehicle use.”

Gilkes commented further: “Specifying standard vans can be hard enough, but overseeing complex conversions, involving several parties, requires a far higher level of transparency and a joined-up approach. Alphabet has created a commercial vehicle build and conversion tool based on Smartsheet, that provides vehicle arrival dates from OEM to converter, build start to completion dates and the date the vehicle will be available to the customer. The system can provide bespoke functionality, storing build and conversion data as it happens and supporting collaboration between the customer, the OEM and the converter.”
