Do you drive a classic car or a vehicle from the early 2000’s? Are you aware of the imminent rollout of E10 petrol at the fuel pumps, do you know exactly what E10 petrol is and the potential impact of the latest blend of renewable ethanol and petrol on your vehicle ? From September this year E10 petrol will be available in UK petrol stations in Great Britain, the introduction of E10 will see renewable ethanol in petrol double from the current petrol blend E5, which contains no more than 5% ethanol. A small number of older vehicles will need to continue to use the current E5 blend, The Government is advising motorists to use the new E10 compatibility checker to see if their vehicle is compatible.
